Toffee Bars

1 cup margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 6oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate pieces (melted)
1/2 cup pecans

Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Add flour, mix well. Spread dough into 15 1/2 by 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan. Bake 350F for 23 minutes. Spread immediately with melted chocolate. Sprinkle with nuts. Cut into bars immediately.
