Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 12oz pkg chocolate chips (2 cups) (opt)
1 cup chopped nuts (opt)

Preheat oven to 375F. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract; beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread into a greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool. Cut into squares.

Makes 35 servings.
