1 lb hamburger
1 clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp basil
1/2 tsp salt
1 16oz can whole tomatoes (chopped)
2 6oz cans tomato paste
1/2 of 8oz package lasagne
2 eggs, beaten
24 oz dry curd cottage cheese
2 Tbsp parsley flakes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 lb mozzarella cheese (slices)
1/2 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
In large skillet, saute meat, remove excess fat; add garlic, basil, salt, chopped tomatoes and tomato paste. Mix well, simmer 30 min, stirring occasionally. Cook lasagne according to package instructions. In large mixing bowl combine eggs, dry curd, parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, salt and pepper; mix well. In greased 9x13x2 baking dish place 3 strips of lasagne length-wise, spread 1/3 meat sauce, 1/3 cheese mixture, and 1/3 mozzarella cheese; repeat layering twice. Bake at 375F for 45 minutes. Let stand 10 min before cutting.
Makes 12 servings.
